News
Scrap Pink was a huge success- thank you so much to everyone who came out and showed their support through cropping, participating in our make-n-takes, or by giving a direct donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and Education. If you weren’t able to make it out to the event but would still like to do your part to help raise money for this great cause, we still have some of the Pink Kits and Pink Ribbon Keychains available for sale for the rest of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month- a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these kits and keychains will also go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation as well as all of the money collected at the Scrap Pink Event.
Parents, make sure to bring the kids out to the store for the Spooktacular Trick or Treating on 10/31 from 1-5 pm. Several other downtown businesses will also be welcoming trick-or-treaters and offering children’s activities, so bring the kids down in their costumes and join in the fun. We will have candy and will be making balloon animals for all of the trick-or-treaters. We will also hold a costume contest for the kids, and for all of the scrapbooking parents, we will be taking photos of the children in their costumes and will have the digital prints available for you to download or print out for your scrapbooks. And as a bonus for the parents, if you scrapbook the photos we take, you can bring your layouts back in to the store to be entered into our halloween layout contest! Details for the halloween layout contest will be given out the day of the Spooktacular Trick-or-Treating event.
Classes
We have some excellent classes lined up for the rest of the month:
Card Crazy- learn to make several different kinds of halloween treat bags and boxes- these are perfect for taking halloween treats to your child’s classroom, halloween parties, or treats for co-workers.
Project of the Month- We will be making a spooktacular 6×6 D-ring halloween chipboard album using the new Daisy D’s Treat Me stack. Each person will receive their own paper stack which includes the stickers and die cuts (we will only use about half of it for the class), as well as a black Cat’s Eye stamp pad and zig zag rub-on tape runner that are yours to keep. We will also be using the coordinating flowers and buttons that go with the collection. You’ll go home with a fun and funky album, and so much extra stuff it’s scary!
Pet Pages- create fun pet pages to capture the antics of all of your furry friends.
Quick & Simple Scrapbooking- beautifully simple pages with a Fall Blessings theme using brand new Heidi Grace papers.
Scrapbook Inspirations- these totally cool pages are created using all of the newest products from the Bohemia Line, from the hip new patterned papers, to the transparency borders and frames, journaling cards, and coordinating printed twill ribbon.
Vintage Baby Club- you can join in on this class as a one time participant, or come in on the annual club for additional benefits. Each month we create a 2 page layout in vintage style that beautifully helps to capture baby’s first year. These pages are not “first’s specific” so you can customize them to fit your photos no matter what point in the year you join in on the club. This month’s pages area created using the new Fancy Pants collections.
