With Memorial Day at hand, it’s the perfect time of year for reflecting on the past and remembering those you love. We want to inspire you to take the time to pull out old photos and reminisce about the good times past, and to take a step toward preserving the memories they contain for generations to come. When you start a scrapbook, you want it to tell a story- whether it’s the story of an event, or the story of a lifetime. When we take photos of special times and place them in photo albums, we think we’ll always remember the names and places in the photos, but most often those details fade from memory, that’s why it’s so important to scrapbook them instead, recording the names, dates, places, and your thoughts on the memories captured in these photos.
Our goal at Scrap Paper Scizzors is to help you preserve those memories with quality materials that will endure over time. Whether you just need some suggestions or basic supplies to get you started, would like to take a class or learn some techniques, or just want to come in and socialize while you work on your scrapbook, we’re glad to help with any of your scrapbooking needs. We have a crop area stocked with tons of scrapbooking tools, stamps, magazines, & cricut die-cutter, where you can come in and work on your scrapbooks and other projects. We also have lots of fabulous products available for purchase in the store whether you are a beginner or long-time scrapbooker! We even have an all day crop on Memorial Day (see classes & crops below) to make it even easier to get started! Summer is approaching fast, and if you are looking for fun, inexpensive activities to keep the kids busy, check out our Kids’ Scrapbook Club starting June 18th, and Kids’ Craft Camp classes starting June 19th! Thanks to everyone who came out for our National Scrapbook Day Weekend Celebration Crop- everyone had lots of fun and won lots of prizes! - KY Foster & Adoptive Parent Training Support Group Meeting & Crop- Monday 5/21 Foster & adoptive parents can come in for the informational meeting at 11:30am, or come in and work on your Lifebook for 3 hours anytime between 11am-8pm and receive training credit.
- Scrapbook Inspirations– Tuesday 5/22 (6-8pm) Create a beautiful 2 page layout using the new “Delightful” Line from Authentique. $15.00
- Vintage Baby Club– Thursday 5/24 (6-8pm) Create a gorgeous 2 page baby layout in vintage style using one of our brand new paper collections. $20.00
