The Official Grand Opening Celebration for Scrap-Paper-Scizzors was a huge success, we could not even have begun to anticipate the number of people who came out to support us! Thank you to everyone who made it out- we hope you had a great time and found lots of original new products to add to your collection, and maybe even won a prize.  Congratulations to Amanda Hamm, who was our Grand Prize Winner of the day. She received a Quickutz Squeeze die cutting system. We wish you many happy hours of diecutting!

The March calendar has been posted with all of our classes, crops, and sale specials. We will gradually be adding more class and crop dates each month once we get a little more settled, but have already begun our Card Crazy, Scrapbook Inspirations, Technique Tuesday, Photography, Photoshop Elements, and Project of the Month classes. So check out our calendar and get a jump start on all of your spring projects, just be sure to sign up early because they have been filling up fast!
And we will definitely be starting our Spring off right! If you have not had a chance to make it back into the store recently, we have received several new products, and I am very excited about all of the cool new stuff that was released at CHA a few weeks ago! We will be picking up a few more brands of acrylic stamps (Fancy Pants, Gel-a-tins, and Lil’ Davis) in some great styles, a full new line from Melissa Frances (absolutely beautiful shabby chic papers, ribbon, and embellishments), the new Flair Cookbooking, Sports, and Pet lines of paper and embellishments, new Just Jinger premade layouts and page accents, and lots more from Karen Foster, SEI, Fancy Pants, and DCWV. There are just too many new lines to name them all! I should begin receiving some of those orders in within the next week, so make sure to check back frequently to see all of the new stuff as it comes in!
For all of you Cricut owners out there, not only do we sell a large amount of the Cricut products, we also have cartridges that you can take home on a 3 day rental. Cartridge rental is available to all customers, just select the cartridge you would like to rent from our crop area, show photo ID, and fill out our rental agreement. Rental is $10.00 for 3 days. Or if you prefer to buy your cartridges, if we don’t have the one you are looking for in the store, we can special order it for at the same low price as our in stock cartridges.
And if you don’t own a Cricut, but would like to try it, we have one in our crop area that is free to use when you come in and crop in the store. The crop space is free Mon.-Fri. 10:00am-5:00pm, then after 5:00 it is only $.50 per hr. (provided there is not a class or scheduled crop). On Saturday it is $1.00 per hr. or $5.00 for the whole day (provided there is not a class or scheduled crop). You will have use of all of our tools and stamps, magazines, die cutting systems, computer (equipped with some cool fonts and Photoshop Elements) and photo printer. And I am always happy to demonstrate any of the tools or techniques that you are unfamiliar with, or to help you with your projects at any time.
Lastly, we will be taking submissions for our 2007 Design Team during the month of March, so if you are interested, bring some samples by and submit your name. We will make a decision at the end of the month, so get your submissions in soon for consideration.  Also, for anyone interested in teaching classes, we will be accepting project samples for this as well. For more information on either of these just call or email us, or swing by the store.
