This year April Showers seem to be an understatement, but here at Scrap Paper Scizzors it’s raining down piles of paper! That’s right, we just received a huge spring shipment of paper that you’re sure to love! So check out our new products listing below for a quick peek at what’s new!

This month we’re giving you lots of chances to get lucky!!!

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, we’re offering 20% off your entire purchase all day long Thursday March 17th!  All you have to do is show us a scrap of something green- whether it be something you are wearing, something in your purse, a layout or card you have designed, something scribbled on your hand or on a piece of paper in green pen, or hey even cash is green!  So come on in and enjoy a little luck of the Irish with this fabulous discount!  (excludes Cricut & Cartridges, Sale or Discount Items, and Class Kits)

Try Your Luck- We will be holding a prize drawing for the month of March and all you have to do to get entered is learn cool new scrapbooking techniques! For the “TRY” part- Just come in anytime in March and ask us to demonstrate any technique you are interested in learning about, try it yourself, then make a purchase of any of the supplies used in that technique and earn a Numbered Gold Coin.  You can even earn multiple gold coins for learning multiple techniques and purchasing an item from each, there is no limit!  And then for the “LUCK” part- At the end of the month we will draw one number, and if that number matches your Gold Coin, you will win our Scrapbooking Techniques Gift Package.

Our WINTER CONSIGNMENT SALE is fast approaching, so go through your stash of scrapbook supplies and pull out anything you are no longer using- get it together and drop it off anytime this week until 8pm on Friday!  We’ll sell your old stuff so you can earn the money to buy loads of new stuff!  The sale will be held this Saturday March 5 from 11am-8pm. For details on selling items, just go to the calendar tab and click on the Consignment Sale Link on the calendar for that date.  We have already received lots of great die cutting systems, dies and accessories, stamp sets, paper and embellishment packs, albums, and organizers, and will be receiving loads more throughout the week. The store will also have several display racks in the sale now that we’ve moved and have rearranged our store displays.  And even if you aren’t selling stuff, come on out and shop all of the fabulous consigned items at even more fabulous prices! It’s a great way to pick up loads of scrapbook supplies for super cheap!

And even if you can’t make it to the consignment sale, that’s OK, you’ll still have the opportunity to save big on your scrapbook purchases by bringing in your Hobby Lobby and Michaels coupons March 7-12th for 40% off WHATEVER YOU WANT ALL WEEK LONG! OPEN FOR BUSINESS- COME CHECK OUT OUR NEW LOCATION!

We are so excited to be settled into our cozy new space- we absolutely love it!  We’ve had great feedback about the new location, with easy access, plenty of parking, and an easily shoppable store layout, you’re sure to love it.  If you haven’t made it out to see our great new place, we’ve received lots of fabulous new products in since the move, so come on in and check us out and see what’s new!  Just click on the directions tab for our address, directions, and map.

Our Winter Consignment Sale is coming soon, so pull out all of those unused scrapbook items cluttering up your crop space and get ready to bring them and earn some extra money to buy all new scrapbook stuff!  The Consignment Sale will be held on Saturday March 5 11am-8pm.  Instructions for selling items can be found on our calendar tab for that date.  But even if you don’t have items to sell, come on in and take advantage of the great bargains you are sure to find!

The CHA Trade Show was last week which means all of the new products will start shipping soon, so keep an eye out for updates on new products throughout the store.

For anyone who might be interested in making the trip to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Louisville on March 11-12, we have $3.00 discount coupons available here in the store while supplies last.

Copic I Techniques Class- Saturday 2/26 (11am-2pm) $35.00 – Come in and learn loads of techniques for using the Copic Markers, and go home with 3 markers, a color table, and a technique reference guide which will include all of your samples, instructions on how to do each technique, and a list of the colors used for each sample.  You will receive 15% off any Copic items purchased or special ordered the day of the class.  And as a bonus for having taken the class, you will receive 10% off any future Copic purchases for LIFE!

Copic II Techniques Class- Saturday 2/26 (3-4:30pm) $35.00 – Come in andl learn more advanced blender solution techniques, airbrush and masking techniques, and how to use the copic markers with other various media such as chalks, colored pencils, on metal, fabric, chipboard/grungeboard, and transparencies.  You will receive 2 markers (colors are seasonal picks), Copic Airbrush Pamphlet, and technique booklet that you will complete all of your samples on that has instructions for all the techniques covered in the class.  And as a bonus for having taken the class, you will receive 10% off any future Copic purchases for LIFE!

Scrap Paper Scizzors is Moving!!!

We hope you all have had a wonderful start to the new year!  As everyone knows the new year symbolizes new beginnings, and that is very true for us this year as we move to our new location.

NEWS

We will be moving to our new location at:

403 S. Broadway Suite 2, Georgetown, KY 40324

(This is located just a few blocks down from our current location- in-between Mike’s Donuts and the Sign Shop, across from Garth Elementary.)  From our current location, if you pull out of our front parking lot and turn right onto Broadway, you will go down to the second light (1st light is Main St., 2nd light is Jackson St.) and we will be in the shopping center on the right at the corner of S. Broadway and Jackson St.

The move will take place Sun. 1/23 – Mon. 1/24 (we will be closed Monday 1/24).  And providing everything transfers over smoothly from the old location to the new one, we will reopen at the new location on Tues. 1/25.  (We will post updates as we go, so we’ll let you know if anything changes.)

We are planning to hold an open house shortly after moving into the new space, so watch for further details, and be sure to come in and check it out.

In the meantime, we are trying to sell down as much inventory as we can so that it will make our move a little easier.  What that means for you is we have huge markdowns on all of our inventory right now (these sale prices are only good only at the current location through Sat. 1/22, once we move to the new location, these will no longer be valid):

  • Approximately half of the patterned paper in the store has been marked down 20% off, and you get to take an additional 20% off at the register.
  • All $.59 paper is currently 4 for a $1.00
  • Loads of embellishments, tools, punches, stamps, etc. have been marked down to 40% off.
  • All other regular priced items in the store are currently 10% off (Excludes sale or discount items, Cricut & Cartridges.)

  • We will be adding a Copic I & II Class to the schedule in Feb., but have not yet been able to confirm a date with Sandi due to some personal family issues she is dealing with.  As soon as we have a confirmed date, we will get it posted here and on our calendar, so please check back in a couple of weeks for further details.
